Facebook has achieved an incredible milestone. Mark Zuckerberg just announced that, as of this morning, 1 Billion people are active users of Facebook each month.

For Social Media Week, we asked 400 Social Media Opinion Formers what they thought about Facebook’s future, along with other issues.

Some thought Facebook in 10 years would be ‘dead and buried’, some thought it would be overtaken by rivals, and some thought it would be about as significant as it is now. But 59% of respondents said it would be either bigger than it is now or “everywhere” – pervasive as a social layer in all sorts of devices.
