Whats the best day to post on Facebook? It’s a question everybody has asked at some point if they use Facebook for promoting their business. But one rule does not apply to all as was generally thought with posting on weekday mornings resulting in the most effective engagement, and that weekends, and weekdays after 8pm, were the least engaged.
According to the Infographic below, research by LinchpinSEO indicated that updates posted between 8pm and 7am see 14% more engagement than posts between 7am and 8pm, and weekend posts see 14.5% more interaction than weekday posts – yet only 14% of total weekly posts are made on a Saturday or Sunday.
The research shows that the optimum posting days were towards the end of the week and over the weekend with the exception of the Clothing and Fashion industry which peaks on Thursday and then takes a long weekend!
What it does confirm is that a ‘one hat fits all’ approach is a myth and that each industry must tailor their approach accordingly.
